CIF FINALS BABY!
Highlanders vs Tustin HS Tillers
Tustin High School comes into the finals with a 9/4 record. They play "smashmouth" football. We'll find out what that means and show them what "Championship Football" means. It will be a great game with two outstanding teams! Let's get ready to rumble!
Week 13 is a huge win with a second half rally!
WEEK 13 - FINAL SCORE: Highlanders 27, Mustangs 22
The La Habra/Trabuco Hills game was just as exciting as last week! The Mustangs were ahead in the first half, but La Habra's endurance proved to be a deciding factor in the second half! Trabuco Hills played a great game and the officiating was outstanding! With less than 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter, it was still anyone's game! Great job from both teams!

The top running back recruit in the county this year is La Habra's Ronnie Hillman. The senior said he has re-committed to San Diego State.
Hillman was considered a soft commitment at one point in January. He took recruiting trips to Fresno State and Colorado State."I'm committed (to San Diego State)," Hillman said Friday. "I'll be signing with them." Hillman said San Diego State strengthened its standing with him by retaining assistant LeCharls McDaniel. Fresno State made a strong push toward Hillman, but the player said he didn't feel comfortable on his trip to the school.
Hillman also played receiver for La Habra but he said San Diego State recruited him as a running back. The Aztecs have enjoyed a higher profile in the county this recruiting season under new coach Brady Hoke.
In addition to Hillman, they have commitments from Santa Margarita receiver Gavin Escobar and Orange Lutheran defensive back Gabe Lemon. King and Chandler are possibilities, too.
"I guess they got smart and decided to go after the kids that nobody wants (who) are good," Hillman said.
